Let's Go Shopping

Good things happened on the way back from delivering my stack of paper work to the tax man. I had a nice lunch with my mom after the "drop and run," then my car found its way to a couple of antique shops including Magpie Antiques in Ripon, CA.  Janet Dyk, the proprietor gave us a nice warm welcome and we both had such a fun time exploring every nook and cranny of this fabulous new shop.

Warning:  This post is picture heavy, so I'll try to keep the comments to a minimum.
Let's go shopping...

I knew we'd be in for quite a treat the moment we walked in the front door.

Vintage goodies everywhere!

I love this huge cubby packed full of treasures.

This one is a more manageable size...if only I had a place for it.

Isn't she lovely all dressed up in her spoon necklaces, lace and corset?  Dress forms are everywhere!

This black metal cash register drawer in Becky's booth (Sweet Cottage Dreams) had to come home with me; you know I love little storage compartments. I also brought home a tattered, but interesting black case that will be getting the stencil treatment.

Storage heaven!

The Love of Lace....oh yeah!

If you're in the area between Stockton and Modesto off of CA99, you don't want to miss
Magpie Antiques.
140 S. Walnut Ave, Suite D, Ripon, CA
Open 10:00am - 5:30pm Monday - Saturday
Just be sure to leave yourself plenty of time to browse because there's so much see.

I was going to ask where Ripon was and then you told me. It is a good thing I am never on the road between Stockton and Modesto because I saw a little, or big, something in every photo that I liked. I would love a room with enough space for one of those cubbies.

What a great place! I'm in love with the tall chest with all the drawers and the numbers on it. We have a small town here in Ohio that's filled with shops like this.

Holy crow! I see so many wonderful treasures; those cabinets, drawers, silver, oh how I wished I lived close by!

But the one thing I really want?

That bunny with the basket on his back!!! He is adorable!

Places where you feel like you are discovering something are the best. Those cubby things would be so cool to have. Now I want to make some and stuff them full of all the goodies I have lying around. Thanks for the shopping adventure!

I am so envious you, having such great shops. Although it might be good I'm not close to one. The octagon storage cabinet would have had to come home with me.

That's the kind of place that you need to go back again and again...you can never see everything at first glance. I like it all except the doll head in the pot! haha! Sweet hugs!
