Farm Fresh Milk Bottle Cap Flowers

A few weeks ago Connie from Crafty Goodies so generously offered a couple of her readers a set of her stamped vintage milk bottle caps, so I jumped right on the offer and emailed Connie telling her I had a plan for them.  I was originally thinking about gluing a magnet on the back of each one, but after I received them I thought they needed to become something a little more whimsical.....

The best part was that I already had everything I needed.  I looked around the house for something to use as a vase, and discovered this "milk" glass salt shaker was the perfect candidate.  I added a piece of vintage trim, a tiny silky flower, and a rhinestone around the top.

These are the milk bottle caps Connie from Crafty Goodies sent me.  You can check out how she transformed these blanks in her blog post here.

Pieces of paper flowers and vintage doilies from a flea market were glued to the back of the milk caps.

I simply doubled some craft wire for stability and wrapped it in floral tape.  A little Tacky Glue holds the wire in place on back of each flower.

Farm fresh!!

So lovely! I really like the grouped effect - that's way cooler than individual magnets - I bet someone buys the whole kit'n'kaboodle. The little coasters are perfect rimming the caps!

Hello Betsy: These milk cap flowers are so charming, and perfect together in your milk glass salt shaker vase. And how neat that you had all the incidental materials already on hand to create everything--yay!

Your milk cap flowers are so very pretty and charming. I so wish I was as creative as you, I must of been standing behind you when they past it out. Oh me of my! The flowers also look very pretty in the milk glass. Don't you just love milk glass. You are very talented, if we weren't' friends I'd be jealous :-} So glad you shared your creative inspiration with Sunday’s Best – your creativity helped make the party a success!

Never-ending inspiration here! I think the sunflower with white petals is my favorite -- at first I thought it was rickrack when looking at it from the front. Cute!
